This loop follows the banks of the Rhône and the Guiers. The history, fauna and flora of this particular territory are to be discovered by strolling along the water.
This circuit, starting from the island of Cordon, first takes the Champagneux dam and follows the wild Rhône to the confluence of the Rhône and the Guiers. This part is carried out on the road first, then on a motorable path to Saint-Genix-sur-Guiers.
This tour is suited for Gravel bikes, Mountian bikes and hybrid bikes. Not recommended for road bikes.
The loop then travels between the Rhône and its lones, an arm of the river winding back from its main bed before returning to the ViaRhôna, a cycle path connecting Geneva to the Mediterranean by making a detour via the majestic Glandieu waterfall located on the roadside of the hamlet of the same name.
