One Saturday per month from June to September, challenge the Grand Colombier on the scenic climb of Culoz on a traffic-free road. All events start from the Maison du vélo in Culoz where you can get a free coffee and finish at the top of the hors catégorie climb where you can get free food and drinks.

The cycling event you cannot miss this summer in Bugey Sud

Since 2012, the French department Ain organises along with the brotherhood les Fêlés du Colombier and the Tourism Information Centre, one Saturday per month, from June to September, the car-free cycling days of the Grand Colombier. 
During these events, the road is closed to all motor vehicles from 7 AM to 3 PM.

In 2020, these events will take place on 13 June, 11 July, 8 August and 12 september.
Although it is possible to start at any time, a group start is organised from the Maison du vélo in Culoz at 9 PM. 

The French department Ain with the brotherhood Félés du Grand Colombier organise a pit stop with food and drinks at the top.

Get ready to challenge Bugey’s giant

18.3 km, an elevation gain of 1262 m, with several parts at 14 %. Your reward: a wonderful point of view on the Bugey region, the Rhône river, the Alps, the Mont Blanc with Lakes Bourget, Annecy and Geneva.
